Did you know that we are an accredited Cat Friendly Vet Clinic?  This means that we have passed a rigorous selection criteria from ‘The International Society of Feline Medicine’ (ISFM). This accreditation certifies that we are highly qualified and guarantee that your cat will have the most pleasant experience it possibly can at a vet.

We understand that not all cats like coming to a vet clinic and that is why we have gone the extra mile in obtaining this accreditation. Our Cat Friendly Clinic includes:

  • Cat only waiting area - This area is separate from the dogs so they don't feel anxious.
  • Cat friendly consult room - This consult room is dedicated to cats only, complete with feliway diffuser. So cats can feel happier and calmer, without those pesky dog smells!
  • Separate cat ward - We have a separate cat only ward for all day-stay and hospital patients. The cat cages are quite spacious and some have multi-level comfortable bedding, which is perfect for cats! It also has a feliway diffuser in it to keep the cats comfortable and calm.
  • Cat friendly handling techniques and restraint - We use only the friendliest of cat techniques and restraint so you can rest assured that your cat is in soft and calm hands.
  • Cat friendly surgical equipment - We carry cat specific surgical equipment which is imperative for ensuring our cats are receiving the best medicine possible, but also the best care as well!
  • Cat friendly advocate - Our wonderful nurse Jess P, is our dedicated Cat friendly advocate who oversees our cat friendly clinic strategies. So if you have any concerns about our cat friendly clinic, you can talk to her any day!

Dog friendly Clinic! – Unlike the ISFM, there is no official certification for ‘Dog Friendly Clinics’. But you can rest assured that we have and always will provide the same experience for your dog(s) as well.

But my animal doesn’t like coming to the vet!?

We get it, coming to the vet can be very stressful for some pets and this can then be more stressful for pet owners. However visiting the vet is an essential part of ensuring that our furry friends live long and healthy lives. We do everything we possibly can to ensure our valued clients and patients feel comfortable and have a pleasurable experience at our clinic. We strongly believe that bringing your pet(s) to our vet for their examination ensures that we can perform the most thorough exam possible.  With MVS being a fully serviced hospital, anything found during the visit can be addressed then and there.

Our vet clinic has good lighting, all diagnostic tools and equipment, medications and plenty of staff to assist and give out cuddles! We also believe that the process of bringing your pet to the vet regularly makes emergency visits and hospital stays less stressful, if ever the time comes. We don’t want your pet’s one and only visit to the vet clinic to be when it is unwell.  Versus if they come in for regular check-ups, when they are already comfortable in the environment.

If your pet is slightly uncomfortable when coming to vet, the solution is not to avoid it. We encourage you to come in MORE OFTEN! We give out free treats, cuddles and weight checks so that your pet can become more accustomed to coming in. That way if they ever need to go into hospital, they are comfortable and less stressed.

We also offer tours of our facility to both you and your pets.  Anytime we are open, our clients are more than welcome to come in and have a look around.  Our clinic is always ready for inspection!!!  We are so proud of what we have to offer… our facility, staff, our warm friendly atmosphere & our wonderful patients!

Vet visits are awesome!!!!
