At Maraboon Vet, we’re on the lookout for a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy Emerald hospital — the heart of our practices across the Central Highlands.
If you’re a bubbly extrovert who is passionate about animals, thrives on multitasking, and genuinely loves making people smile, this could be your dream job.
You’ll be the heart of our hospital working with the admin team — greeting clients, juggling bookings, supporting the rest of the team, and keeping everything running smoothly across our three locations (Emerald, Blackwater, and Maraboon Rural Vet).
Your days will include:
Delivering warm and professional service to clients and their pets
Managing bookings, phone calls, emails, and appointment/surgical scheduling
Handling payments and daily reconciliations
Keeping stock and inventory organised
Assisting with marketing and social media posts
Bringing your energy and positivity to every shift!
Excellent communicator and team player
Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Confident using computers (MS Office, Gmail, etc.)
Prior customer service experience (bonus points for health or medical experience)!
Most importantly — a genuine love for animals
Our purpose-built hospital at 61 Hospital Road, Emerald is known for delivering exceptional veterinary care across the Central Highlands. With 4 consult rooms, double surgery suites, separate dog and cat wards, and a state-of-the-art treatment area, we’re equipped for everything from routine care to complex orthopaedic surgeries.

Our rockstar team is equipped to handle all emergencies calmly and efficiently. Previous experience in the industry is always beneficial, but in this case, not a deal breaker.
